Kongregate is a great place for casual and addictive games. Not every games that’s published there is a great one, but there are quite a few gems – even games that can keep you busy for hours, like Desktop Tower Defense, Monster’s Den: Book of Dread, Boxhead Zombies and much more.
And now we have Storm the House 3 – a house-defending game, a sequel to Storm the House 1 & 2.
The purpose of the game is to defend your house from growing waves of ferocious warriors. You can choose Campaign gameplay, or one of a few mini-games available.
You start off with a simple handgun, which has only 7 shots and a slow reload time. At first, your enemies are slow and equipped only with swords, but as the days progress, the attackers include gunmen, armed Jeeps, suicide trucks, tanks, helicopters and more.
When you kill an enemy you receive some money, and with it you can upgrade your weapons and buy interesting defense towers, like a flame thrower, laser shooter and missile launcher. You can also buy gunmen to assist you in your fighting, and repairmen, to help you fix the damage done to your house.
Surviving 40 days in the games is not easy, and there are some close calls, especially when the suicide trucks start to show up. If you calculate your steps right (hint: lean hard on the defense towers), you can easily survive the needed 40 days for a badge – and beyond. At some point the attack waves become ridiculously dense and heavy, but if you are equipped with the right stuff – you’ll be able to make it.
Storm the House 3 is a fun, time-consuming game. It requires a good mouse accuracy, fast reactions and some strategic thought.
Game Walkthrough – 40 Days Campaign
- Buy 3 gunmen as soon as you can.
- Buy a shotgun and shoot at groups.
- Buy Flamer Joe and upgrade range his range twice. Let him handle the foot soldiers and you aim for cars.
- Buy 2 laser towers and max out on them.
- Make sure you upgrade your wall at least once – or the suicide trucks will kill you.
- Buy about 40 gunmen and a few repairmen
- Sell Flamer Joe, buy another laser and purchase Old Glory.
- Add gunmen until you’ve got 60 or more and get about 40-50 repairmen.
- KILL THEM ALL!
